Frequently Asked Questions

Generals

The Semiautomatic version was thought for laboratories that process a few quantities of samples day and the calibration is made manually. For Automatic version the reagents are connected directly to the analyzer and the calibration is automatically made, this version was thought for laboratories that process more than 15 samples per day.

Yes. The user could choose between these languages: French, Spanish, English, Poland and Portuguese.

The sample could be measured directly from the primary tube with: Whole blood, Urine, Serum, Plasma, biological substances (sweat).

It is to update software or connect a LIS system.

Yes, it could.
The analyzer could be connected to any laboratory information system.

No. The autosampler only works with Automatic Plus version, because the cabinet must be conditioned to connect the autosampler.

The analyzer includes: a Quick start guide, Quality control sheet, 1 ISE urine 150 ml, 1 Trilevel 3 x 20 ml, Manual CD, Capillary adaptators, Power supply, Cable to connect to the earth, Kit cable, Peristatic tubing and a fill port cleaner.

Semi-plus has input/output, printer and memory of 1000 results, port RS232 and PS2. Semiautomatic Basic only keep the last result in memory and has no serial input/output.

The Automatic Plus version includes the autosampler to measure up to 40 samples per run and internal barcode scanner.

Calibration

No, the calibration period is each 8 hours, but it has to be made under request of the user. If not, the analyzer makes a WET A/B to maintain liquid in the tubes.

Every 8 hours, if the analyzer is not used automatically it changes in standby mode. For Automatic version in standby mode, makes WET A/B and consume half of the calibration. For Semiautomatic version the reagent is not connected to the instrument, so only consume under request.

Test

Yes, the analyzer keeps the last 1000 results in memory (except for Semiautomatic Basic), can be printed it at any time.

40 μL for Na/K, 70 μL for NA/K/CL, 100 μL for all the electrodes.

Maintenance

We recommend calibrating and performing quality control checks at the start of each shift, deep cleaning at the end of the day, replacing the peristaltic tubing every six months, and the entire tubing kit annually.

Yes, the equipment logs daily preventive maintenance tasks, including: 1. Intensive cleaning 2. Calibrations 3. Quality control checks.

That is on demand of the analyzer. Also, it could be made at request of the final user.

Electrodes

Up to 5 parameters could be measured simultaneously. Na / K / Cl / Ca / Li.

Between 1 year and half and 2 years.

Packs y Kits

It is 3 months at room temperature 5ºC to 35ºC

Depends on the number of tests running per day, the more test running per day the more samples per pack will be obtained (see the tools of consumption).

It contained: Standard A / Standard B / Waste / Cleaning solution.

Contained: 1 bottle of Standard A x 800 ml. 1 bottle of Standard B x 100 ml. 1 bottle of Cleaning Solution x 100 ml.

Contained: 2 bottles of Standard A x 100 ml each. 1 bottle of Standard B x 100 ml. 1 bottle of Cleaning solution x 100 ml.

Yes, only DIESTRO reagents can be used in the analyzer.

Consumables

It is a sort of sponge which protect and clean the needle.

We recommend to pass the control every day before start working, and check that everything runs well with the measurement. It is the same if you make the control with Trilevel or Diestro Control (the second one is for a single use, and it could be more expensive).

We recommend to pass the control every day before start working, and check that everything runs well with the measurement. It is the same if you make the control with Trilevel or Diestro Control (the second one is for a single use, and it could be more expensive).

We recommend to change the fill port cleaner with every pack/kit.

Before the test, it is for dilute the urine. It contained 150 ml.

The main difference between them is that Diestro Control are ampoules for only one use and they are approved to use it in other brands (they are specify in the insert). And Diestro Trilevel is for several uses, once it is opened you could use it for 30 days refrigerated, and it is exclusive for Diestro Analyzers.

The box contained 30 Glass ampoules of 2 ml each (Ten ampoules for each level).

Stock y Transport

No, everything have be storage or transported between 5°C and 35°C except the Diestro Trilevel Control which need to be stored in the fridge once it is opened.

Optionals

All, except semiautomatic basic, internal barcodes is always an option never included.

Any standard model with connection PC2.

Yes, at any time. By generating a code in the instrument and send it to us. We will proceed to generate a new code and give it back to you to enter into the instrument. Then you will have to put the new electrode, and then the new ion is ready to be measure.

The autonomy is one year or 100 refills.
